Starting from the bottom

In May of 2018, MLS rolled out an all-new mobile app. This was the first major update to the mobile app experience in several years.

The digital products team, comprised of designers and technologists, undertook the 10 month redesign from the ground up. This was the first major product launch for the new in-house team.

WALK. Don’t Run.

As we all know, when you first launch a new product features get de-scoped and functionality gets pushed aside to meet deadlines. In order to continue to improve the much improved MLS app, I was brought in to help felicitate several 2.0 updates. Such projects include a new video gallery experience, mini-player, information architecture proposals for the core screens of the app, and improved live experience.

Universal UI KIt

Creating core screen kits, controllers, colors, and branding for clubs allowed for seamless cross-platform component design. Collaborating with our development team, we worked to create a UI kit that was built in React Storybook.
